I liked the podcast / videocast, 'cause I got here I saw on Twitter that he would be talking GSF live .. and as Sunday is synonymous with Domingão Faustão .. Hello everyone ... For at least six months to hear the podcast and always liked the idea ... I started using Ubuntu a lot because of Macario who spoke passionately about freedom and technology ...
On purchase of software, I am of opinion that is valid but, as if the guy wants to pay money for it, that your will be done ... Of course it still has to complain or blame ... that thing in the world of open source is a little more complicated ... but that's another discussion ...
Still use Windows, but increasingly I am using ubuntu ...
First I want to congratulate you guys for podcast, listeners will come already fixed even having heard only the edition 70 and 71. I found the podcast a few days through the Wireless Girl, which I follow for some time now through twitter, blog, podsemfio, flickr, etc. Windows Vista magazine. Congratulations on the excellent quality of the podcast, it's amazing how Ricardo and his "team" has always been the ability to overcome (but will not relax now, right!)
I confess I took the walk from Macari sometimes about the size of the file that generates each episode, but that's the price you pay for such quality. Of course there are people who do not have broadband and end up having problems.
In the episode, there were many jokes about the size of the posts, and increasingly so, and Ricardo always said that the idea is to get bigger, so I issue a challenge to Ricardo: Creating a Podcast Episode 24 hours in duration: P ... do you have courage? This was the first who participated via ustream and, as the Seine, "gave horny." It's great to participate live, help in the comments. And speaking of comments, did not expect much surrendered my last comment, sensational.
Have not heard the podcast whole, because this time, with time being scarce by the end of the semester, year and so I decided to listen to pieces as they solve other things, the staff does. But the philips gogear mp3player (not worthy link) is very bad for podcasts. Guys, I heard this podcast first edition in 71 and really do not know if I liked. Expected, as its name suggests and have heard the Macari on 2 shares in Pod Wireless, content focused on open source (computer programming). I was wrong?
Well ... As a (deserved) praise since there are several here in the post and read comments during the program, I'll leave some criticism productive (at least that is my intention).
1) Over two hours of the podcast, does not it. Ok ... The Macari was very clear during the 71st edition of the comments that will always be so, and whoever listens. Even believing that unless a listener (in case I, because I do not know if I'll hear other issues) will not make a difference, I would like (more) point of view. In times of "green", remember that download also waste energy. The local device (computer, mobile phone, mp3), the gateway (router ADSL, cable modem) user, the infrastructure provider communication and provider of storage services ... All of this takes energy. Therefore, the energy spent to download 135MB, multiplied by hundreds (thousands??) Of USERS (not counting the energy consumed during the hearing) could not be decreased a little bit? This economy would not be in a way, an attitude of citizenship (so lacking in Brazil today)?
2) The GSF was joking when he said that the election should be decided by lot, no? I hope so. I know that we must respect individual opinion, especially when it comes to football, politics or religion. But an opinion maker with her (and you also CL) have to be careful what you say. Well, I do not know if I have additional comments. I still can not stop listening to the podcast (it's been 1 hour and 40 minutes and there are still 1 hour and 9 minutes), and frankly I still do not know. Not because they're enjoying (if it were not, would not give me the job to write a review) but because I run out of time to hear the other 5 or 6 podcasts (outside of the commentators CBN) I like to hear the week have been released. After all, technology and news podcasts (which are the majority who subscribe to) get more interesting when heard next to launch.

Oops! I forgot to leave a suggestion in my comment above complainer. :-) Since decreasing the time the podcast is out of the question, how about splitting the file by sessions (more or less along the lines of "shownotes" already in post). Thus, each listener can download only the interesting parts to it.

Maybe my comment go against the grain of most listeners, from what I've read and heard in the podcast already in several episodes.
What I would like to emphasize is that I LOVE long podcasts. Can not understand, really, because so many people do not like. It can only be because they do not like the podcast in its entirety. If you do not have broadband someone asks to download. But who can live without lara banda today?
What impresses me most in Open Source is that you guys do not force the bar so that it is long, it flows naturally over time and can last about two hours. You guys are not rolling sausage, the sections will be interspersed naturally and gives what happens: good hours of entertainment and information.
And the cool of the Code is free to be long it lasts, your taste is more flavorful, it can take days, I hear it for 3 or more parts, preferably during the commute to work. He is a great Aiding tb on my walks. What fun he would have lasted half an hour? The Open Source has contributed to my fitness!
Tb am of the opinion that should not be edited, not to be if you guys realize that the audio is nice and not have to give an improved or normalized in the same. But for that you guys would have heard the whole episode before posting it. You guys usually do this?

Personally, I am noob in the podcast you. I hear many international for many years, and I was surprised this week with the quality of some Brazilians who signed podcasts.
And over time the podcast, I finally found one that lasts more than an hour and a half! Increase over time, the chat is great, nice and relevant issues.
