Patriotism does not need cleats

By Bia Kunze at 16:06:10

I like this season's World Cup. I like to see the banners on the facades, people dressed in green and yellow, children with horns ... ok, not horns. But it is a beautiful time ... people play, fraternize, meet friends.

But I think lately there have been an exaggeration, to stop this business of the country. Time Banks change, food stores and lower the door ... even if you do not give a shit about football, is forced to stop as well. Woe to the boss who did not release their employees to see the game! A TV in the cafeteria of the firm is not enough anymore, people want to meet their arrivals, take some cachaça and swearing Dunga. I saw a lot of skirt around labor this year, something never seen in previous editions.

On the other hand, do not like in a bad mood in the extreme, like the guy who curses the world and arranges fights for not wanting to get involved with the World Cup. Or say that football is alienating a tool of domination. If Brazil had an option to soap operas and football on TV, such as greater access to books, theater, cinema and good music, fine. Unfortunately football is the only amusement of many who leave home at 4 am and returns midnight every day.

But there's one thing that disgusts me to the extreme: it is call the guy who hates football and World Cup anti-patriot.

Whoa, what patriotism and football have to do?

Winning the World Cup will improve the income distribution? Health? Education? It will make our politicians take shame? Will make the best voting populace? I do not see anyone in Brazil to win World Cup directly, except the crooks of CBF and a handful of TV stations.

You called his chief of anti-patriotic because he does not let you leave work? Or the fellow who is rooting for another team, because it considers a better team? Reflect for a moment: what YOU have done the country, and that damn vuvuzela blowing in the ear of the other?

Smacks,
